ANA\C's 2017 RN Day Featured Speaker

Kelley Johnson, RN, BSN
Brand Ambassador and Nurse Advocate
United Staffing Solutions Inc.

As Miss Colorado 2015, Kelley received national notoriety when she performed a monologue about nursing and patient care during the talent competition in the 2016 Miss America pageant. After being criticized by some talk show hosts for wearing scrubs and a stethoscope, Kelley’s monologue went viral and sparked nationwide support for nurses and the nursing profession.

Kelley was second runner up in the 2016 Miss America pageant. Performance of her monologue about caring for Joe, an Alzheimer’s patient, made her a national celebrity with appearances on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, Dr. Oz, The Doctors, E News, and various other television and radio shows across our country.

Kelley graduated Summa Cum Laude from Nursing School at Grand View University, where she was also valedictorian. As a Registered Nurse, she hopes to begin classes this year to obtain a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. Currently, Kelley lives and works out of Los Angeles as the Brand Ambassador and Nurse Advocate for United Staffing Solutions Inc, a travel nursing company in Torrance, California.

Kelley is also a spokesperson for Hurst Review, a nationwide NCLEX Review Service, and continues to host and emcee television shows and pageants across America while continuing to speak publicly about the nursing profession and serving various nursing communities through direct care, advocacy and education.

As a featured speaker at ANA\C’s RN Day at the Capitol, Kelley will discuss strategies to increase nursing’s voice and influence.
