-Incorporate integral practices to cultivate Healing Presence, through grounding, centering, resourcing, and use of the breath as part of daily spiritual refreshment in the midst of a work day.

-Identify opportunities for improvements in the environment of work, patient safety, quality of care, and staff retention through the use of Integrative, Holistic Nursing philosophy, practice, and complementary modalities.

Host:

Anne Pera, R.N. ,B.S.N., HN-C, PHN, RMT

Anne is a Care Coordinator, Nurse Consultant, and Holistic Nurse Educator with a private practice in the Healing Arts.  If she’s not exploring the frontiers of consciousness or finding ways to support her colleagues and clients through the dark and stormy nights of the soul, she is out in the garden, tending seedlings for her Monarch butterfly project. She has been teaching the Integrative Healing Arts, Reiki, Flower Essence therapy, and Aromatherapy for decades. She is always piqued by the latest findings and research in Biofield Therapies and Vibrational healing. She has sustained her soul over the past two decades with the support of RENEW, and as a member of the longest-running conversation group, "Conversing About Nursing" Conversation Group© she has learned that by keeping one’s values in the forefront of all of life’s decisions, one can go on, despite the hardships, with integrity and a vision of hope for the future.

Anne is currently in training with the Center for Compassionate Integrity and Secular Ethics, with the goal of facilitating resilience-informed systems change. She is a passionate advocate for healing the trauma of our nursing workforce, by bringing healing into the hands and hearts of caregivers, for themselves and for others. In response to the Great Resignation, she has become involved in the American Nurses Association of California’s Nurses in Media training, Nurse Advocates for Legislative Change, and has joined the Nurse Mentor program.

She is Board Certified in Holistic Nursing, a Usui Holy Fire Master Teacher, a Certified Massage Therapist, a Metamorphosis practitioner, and uses Flower Essences and aromatherapy in her Healing Arts practice.

She is an active member of the following organizations:

American Holistic Nurses Association, American Nurses Association of California, Consciousness and Healing Initiative, Institute of Noetic Science, International Center for Reiki Training, RENEW, and is a founding member of The Nurses Gaze: Grace-Filled Visions For the Future.

She obtained her BSN from Marquette University in Milwaukee and has worked in California for 4 decades. Her clinical practice has been in Oncology and Hospice, and care coordination, and she is currently working In Population Health Services as a Transfer Center RN in San Francisco.

She and her husband live in San Rafael where she enjoys, hiking, gardening, and writing poetry. She has two grown children and two darling grandchildren, who bring great joy to her life.
