In this panel discussion, mental health experts and nurse executives will uncover the biggest barriers to implementing mental health services for nurses, and why so few nurses actually utilize them.

Dr. Bernadette Melynk - Panelist

Dr. Melynk - recognized nationally and globally for both her clinical knowledge and her innovative approaches - serves as Vice President for Health Promotion, University Chief Wellness Officer, and Professor and Dean of the College of Nursing at The Ohio State University.

Dr. Anita Girard - Panelist

Dr. Girard - an experienced healthcare leader with a demonstrably successful history of working in the hospital & health care industry - serves as VP & Chief Nursing Officer at Cedars Sinai L.A. Medical Center, and Board President of the American Nurses Association\California.

Dr. Bonnie Clipper - Panelist

Dr. Clipper - an accomplished health care executive, influential thought leader, coach, and international speaker - serves as Chief Clinical Officer at Wambi, a real-time healthcare employee recognition system.

Dr. Jim D'Alfonso - Panelist

Dr. D'Alfonso - an experienced board executive, educator, and author - serves as Kaiser Permanente’s Executive Director of Professional Excellence and Founding Executive Director of Nurse Scholar Academy and Mental Health Scholars Academy.

Dr. Dan Weberg - Co-Host

Dr. Weberg - an expert in nursing, healthcare innovation, and human-centered patient design with extensive clinical experience in emergency departments, acute in-patient hospital settings and academia - serves as Head of Clinical Innovation at Trusted Health.

Carolyn Duenas - Co-Host

Mrs. Duenas was inducted as a 2022 Advocacy Institute Fellow through the American Nurses Association\California and is focused on mental health solutions for nurses. Mrs. Duenas has obtained her Master's in Business Administration for Executive Healthcare.
