About the Event

Veterans and military-connected patients often receive care in civilian healthcare systems, yet many organizations lack consistent processes to identify and support them.

Join ANA\California’s Advocacy Institute Fellows as they share early insights from our Veteran Health campaign and facilitate an interactive listening session. This is an opportunity to share your experiences, highlight what is working, and surface gaps in how veterans are identified and cared for across healthcare settings.

Fellows will guide the discussion and invite participants to speak to their organization’s practices, workflows, and challenges. Your input will directly inform policy recommendations aimed at improving identification, care coordination, and access for veterans and military-connected patients.

If you are interested in supporting veterans or improving access to care, this conversation will leave you with new perspectives and ideas to help drive meaningful policy and system change.

Why It Matters

Without consistent identification and coordinated processes, critical health needs can be missed. Your voice will help shape solutions that ensure veterans receive the recognition and support they deserve.

Who Should Attend

Nurses, nurse leaders, care coordinators, intake staff, administrators, and anyone involved in patient identification, access, or care delivery.

Open to all.
