This bill's current location is the Third Reading. After the reading, there will be a Roll Call Vote in the State Assembly before the deadline of January 31st.

If 41 Assemblymembers vote to support the bill, it will then move along the legislative process in the State Senate.

Following up on the previous legislative update last week, this bill was placed on the 'Suspense File' by the Appropriations Committee. The Committee reviewed the bill to determine if the fiscal impact outweighed the expected benefits. As of January 18th, this bill did not make it off the Suspense File, meaning it did not pass, and is considered 'dead' for 2024.
