Nursing Legislation in California - May Update

🎥 ANA\California's CEO, Dr. Marketa Houskova, and contracted lobbyist, Roxanne Gould, are back with another legislative update for our members. 🎥 Jump to the video.
Here's what you need to know.
Last week, the California Legislature's Senate and Assembly Appropriation Committees had a deadline to vote on bills in the Suspense File. The California Senate and Assembly Appropriations Committees are responsible for reviewing bills that have a fiscal impact on the state budget. Their primary role is to assess the financial implications of proposed legislation and determine its feasibility and sustainability within the state’s fiscal framework.
Friday, May, 24th, is the last day for each house to pass bills in their house (Senate and Assembly). Passed bills move to the other house where the legislative process will resume.
