Introducing ANA\C Advocacy Institute!

 

The ANA\C Advocacy Institute is an 8-month program for members in good standing, who demonstrate a passion for policy development and advocacy and understanding of the state legislative processes with a specific focus on advancing the profession of nursing through policy, legislation, and regulations.

This individual must meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum Baccalaureate level degree in nursing 
  • Minimum of 2 years continuous membership in ANA\C
  • Ability to commit a minimum of 2 hours per week toward ANA\C-AI time including but not limited to, meetings, ZOOM calls, attendance at legislative sessions, BRN meeting, etc. 
  • Ability to construct, submit and/or present comprehensive reports at ANA\C events
  • Public speaking ability, including the ability to speak in front of large groups. 

The ANA\C-AI participants will work very closely with the ANA\C Executive Director, lobbyist, and staff to follow policy, legislation and/or regulation leads significant for nursing, healthcare organizations, and institutions; provide insights, develop goals, strategies, and tactics to advocate; and be the voice of health, public, or nursing policy at the local, regional, institutional or state level.

CEU: 20 HOURS

Registration Fee: $599

Includes lodging for 3 nights, 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, and 1 dinner plus wine and cheese at networking reception.

Attend ANA\C's regional board meeting this February for an opportunity to network and hear updates from from all Officers, Directors and Executive Director about their work and plans for the future, as well as an update from ANA\C's lobbyist. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is free to attend.
